Doctoral School Committee

The Doctoral School Committee consists of full or associate professors and researchers of Trento University, and researchers of Institutes participating in the partnership of the Doctoral Programme, and of two students elected every two years.

Functions of the Doctoral School Committee

The Doctoral School Committee is made up of full or associate professors and researchers of Trento University and researchers of Institute participating in the partnership of the Doctoral Programme and two student elected every two years.

The Doctoral School Committee

• organizes the courses and other activities of the Doctoral Programme and defines the specialized study areas;
• supervises the research results of each student in order to ensure that each one learns the methodology of scientific research;
• approves the educational programme of the students at the start of each academic year, establishing the times and methods for submission and verification of any intermediate reports;
• appoints a tutor, internal or external to the Graduate School Committee, for each student;
• authorizes the students to go abroad for training activities;
• approves participation of the students in placements organized at Italian and foreign public bodies or private organizations if the placement is longer than six months;
• can authorize students to conduct educational, ancillary or supplementary activities and extra-curricular research activities;
• at the end of the academic year, approves or denies admission of the students to the following year;
• submits the opinion on the activities conducted by each student to the Examination Committee for earning the Doctoral degree;
