AVA3 System for the PhD Programme

The model of Self-Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation of Universities (AVA 3), provides for a System of Initial and Periodic Accreditation of PhD Courses, aimed at guaranteeing the quality of the training paths to acquire skills and to carry out highly qualified research activities in public or private institutions.

As part of the Quality Assurance System, the PhD Course applies the internal assessment following the Ministerial and University Guidelines, with the help of the Self-Assessment Panel, which monitors the training activities and the assessment of the courses belonging to the different macro-areas and, through discussion and exchange of views between members, suggests the adoption of good practices to improve the quality and performance of the PhD Course. What emerges during the Panel's meetings is reported to the PhD Board.

The Self Assessment Panel is composed as follows

Academic component: Prof. Carlo Baccigalupi; Prof. Roberto Battiston; Prof. Ivan De Mitri (President); Prof. Myrka Zago
PhD students component: Dr. Annachiara Pagano
